All of our activities are aimed at providing necessary support to our community members living in the rural villages of Alailelai Ward in the Ngorongoro Concervation Area (NCA) in northern Tanzania. We are a traditionally pastoral people who have been affected by loss of land, government regulations and conservation restrictions, lack of health care services, water and basic food needs.
Our programs try to directly address some of these needs in an attempt to give our struggling communities, and especially our poorest members, a means for a more sustainable lifestyle. We work closely with supporters and other Non Government Organizations in the USA who provide financial backing for our programs, as well as organizational support and expertise when needed. Furthermore, we collaborate with other NGO’s working in northern Tanzania and East Africa and government agency’s so as not to duplicate efforts in the region.
